  15. Vegalab Spider Mite Control product imageVegalabVegalab Spider Mite ControlNo endorsements yetAmplified Natural Terpenoid Control of Spider Mites Spider Mite Control is a plant extract pesticide used to control spider mites, which are known to feed on several hundred species of plants. The plant oil extracts disrupt the breathing of spider mites and also prevent laid eggs from hatching. Spider Mite Control is a safe, all-natural alternative to conventional pesticides and does not cause resistance development after continuous use. Pests Targeted Spider mites are Acari of the family Tetranychidae, which includes a wide number of species. They generally live under plant leaves, which get damaged when the spider mites feed on them. They are quite small and they lay eggs, which can also cause plant damage after hatching. They attack a large variety of plants such as tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, beans, corn, strawberry, etc. Damaged plants show small light flecks. Spider Mites can become a pest when insecticides kill their natural predators. In high populations, they produce webbing to protect themselves and their eggs. A single mature female can spawn about one million mites in approximately one month. Their accelerated reproductive rates allow spider mites to quickly adapt to chemical pesticides and become resistant. Application To apply Spider Mite Control during a spider mite outbreak, use 0.256 oz of product with one gallon (1 gal.) of water to dilute. It can also be used in other quantities, respecting the dilution rate of 1:500 product to water. After dilution, spray the product onto the plant leaves above and below. Do not apply prior to excessive rains, since this may reduce product effectiveness. Apply again in event of rain. Apply every 3-5 days. Avoid applying product during peak sunlight as oil-based products may cause phytotoxic effects. Active Ingredients Spider Mite Control uses natural cottonseed, peppermint, and rosemary oil extracts, in combination with geraniol, as the active ingredients to reach the highest level of efficacy, while greatly reducing the environmental impact of using this product. Spider Mite Control kills spider mites effectively on contact (direct toxicity). The oils biodegrade naturally under warm conditions and do not leave any harmful residues behind. A foliar spray on the leaves of plants will control various insects for several days. Geraniol is also an effective insect repellent. Safety & Environmental Info The oil extracts from plants used in this product are non-toxic to humans and rapidly biodegrade under warm conditions, meaning they do not leave harmful residues. This product is not leachable from soil. Appropriate land management practices should be used at all times with any pesticide; this material should be prevented from entering public or private water supplies (including wells) and any lake, stream, or river. Mode of Action Spider Mite Control blocks the breathing holes of spider mites, so they die by suffocation. It also deactivates the eggs and prevents hatching. Spider Mite Control also causes reproductive disruption among female spider mites, leading to infertility or mites that don't develop to an adult stage.BiocontrolBiopesticides
  16. Vegalab Nematode Control product imageVegalabVegalab Nematode ControlNo endorsements yetPowerful Natural Control of Parasitic Nematodes Nematode Control is our next generation nematicide built around our patented, proprietary nanotechnology. Compatibility testing on a wide range of crops including tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, strawberries, and watermelons show over 80% efficacy using this product. Nematode Control has been proven to significantly impact the population of parasitic nematodes species including, but not limited to, root knot, burrowing, lesion, pin, and spiral. Application For the prevention of nematode infestation, mix 3.8 ml (3/4 tsp) of product with one gallon (1 gal) of water to properly dilute Nematode Control. For area applications, use 67.6 oz per acre of land via soil irrigation. If nematode infestation already exists, then mix 7.6 ml (1 1/2 tsp) of product with one gallon (1 gal) of water to properly dilute Nematode Control. For area applications, use 1.1 gallons per acre of land via soil irrigation. After dilution, irrigate the product onto the soil. Do not apply prior to excessive rains, since this may reduce product effectiveness. Active Ingredients Nematode Control uses the natural extract geraniol as the active ingredient to reach the highest level of efficacy, while greatly reducing the environmental impact of using this product. Geraniol is our best recommendation for natural control of plant parasitic nematodes. Safety & Environmental Info Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and do not drink. Handling and storage requirements: product should be stored in a dry, cool place (0-35°C). Biodegradability of the product has not been determined, so avoid disposing of the product into drainage systems and into the environment. Appropriate land management practices should be used at all times with any pesticide; this material should be prevented from entering public or private water supplies (including wells) and any lake, stream, or river. Mode of Action Nematode Control minimizes root knots and egg hatching of phytonematodes by disrupting their feeding and reproduction. It also minimizes the effects of soil pathogens and various impediments caused from soil and climate factors. Nematode Control enhances plant disease resistance and stimulates root growth and plant health. Nematodes, or roundworms, comprise a diverse group of parasites. They are ubiquitous in freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environments, as they are able to adapt very well to different environmental conditions. They are the most numerous multi-cellular animals on earth. Some nematodes are beneficial to plant growth, but others are detrimental. Nematode Control targets the harmful nematodes, which attack plants and serve as carriers for plant viruses in crops. Mix Rate The mix rate for Nematode Control is 0.13 fl oz (3/4 tsp.), or 3.8 ml per 1 gallon of water, or 1 gallon of product per 1,000 gallons of water for prevention of disease symptoms. If the nematode infection exists, the mix rate is 7.6 ml per gallon or water, or 1 gallon of product per 500 gallons of water.BiocontrolBiopesticides

  18. Vegalab Spore Control product imageVegalabVegalab Spore ControlNo endorsements yetNatural Broad Spectrum Control of Fungal Pathogens Spore Control is an all-natural fungicide composed of plant extracts. It is applicable as a foliar spray and has been tested on strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes, and chili peppers. If used at the first sign of disease, it aids in disease resistance and improves crop yields. This natural fungicide is also environment friendly, as its impact to the soil and aquifers is negligible. Spore Control uses thymol as a fungicidal agent and offers a safer alternative to other, more persistent chemical pesticides that can often be dispersed in runoff and cause subsequent contamination. Pests Targeted - Effective against anthracnose on eggplants, peppers (chili & sweet), potatoes, and tomatoes. - Effective against downy mildew, especially as related to cucurbits. - Effective against wilt disease, as related to bananas, cucurbits, eggplants, geraniums, ginger, olives, peppers (chili & sweet), potatoes, tobacco, & tomatoes. - Effective against damping off (water mold), Fusarium, grey mold (Botrytis), and root rot (Phytophthora) for most fruit & vegetable crops. Application At the onset of the disease, use 3.8 mL (3/4 tsp.) of product with one gallon of water in order to dilute Spore Control. It can also be used in other quantities, respecting the dilution rate of 1:1,000 product to water. In area applications, use 6.9 oz to 10.4 oz per acre of land as a foliar spray. After dilution, spray directly on the plants leaves. Do not apply prior to excessive rains, since this may reduce product effectiveness. Active Ingredients Spore Control uses thymol as the active ingredient to reach the highest level of efficacy, while greatly reducing the environmental impact. Thymol is a phenolic compound that has strong antimicrobial characteristics. It belongs to a class of compounds known as biocides and it is extracted from Thymus sp. Safety & Environmental Info Avoid eye and skin contact. Contents are hazardous in case of eye contact (irritant), ingestion and inhalation. Contents are slightly hazardous in case of skin contact (permeator). Studies have shown that thymol degrades rapidly (DT50 16 days in water, 5 days in soil) in the environment and presents a low risk because of rapid dissipation and low binding capacity of residues. The use of thymol as a pesticide agent offers a safe alternative to other more persistent chemical pesticides that can be dispersed in runoff and produce subsequent contamination. Mode of Action Spore Control has two effects on crops: preventive and curative effects. It inhibits spore germination and germ tube growth, and also destroys the pathogen cell. Thymol induces an imbalance of K+ ions inside the mycelium and halts spore germination and mycelium proliferation. It enters the pathogen cell causing cell lysis. If it is administered at the beginning of disease onset, it helps fight the disease and improves immunity of the crops.BiocontrolBiopesticides
