AGTIV REACH® L POTATO and AGTIV REACH® P POTATO are biological mycorrhizal inoculants developed specifically for potato production. Formulated with Rhizophagus irregularis (PTB297 technology), they expand the root network beyond the natural root zone, improving nutrient and water uptake and helping potato plants better tolerate abiotic stresses such as drought.
Supported by more than 1,200 yield trials across diverse growing conditions, AGTIV REACH® POTATO helps growers maximize yield potential, improve crop uniformity, and strengthen early-season establishment.
Key Benefits
Expands the root network
Mycorrhizal hyphae extend into the soil beyond the natural root zone, increasing the plant’s absorptive surface area.
Improves nutrient and water uptake
Enhanced root function improves access to key nutrients and supports better water absorption.
Improves tolerance to abiotic stress
By strengthening root efficiency and nutrient access, potato plants are better equipped to tolerate environmental stresses such as drought.
Supports early establishment and plant vigor
Improved root development contributes to stronger early growth and more vigorous plants throughout the season.
How It Works
Following application at planting, Rhizophagus irregularis colonizes the developing potato root system and forms a beneficial symbiotic association with the plant.
The mycorrhizal fungi develop an extensive hyphal network in the soil, effectively increasing the root system’s reach. This expanded network enhances the uptake of water and nutrients from soil zones that roots alone cannot access, improving nutrient use efficiency and supporting plant performance throughout the growing cycle.
Application & Formulation
AGTIV REACH® L POTATO is a liquid mycorrhizal inoculant designed for in-furrow application or seed-piece treatment at planting. It integrates easily into standard liquid delivery systems for precise placement near the seed piece.
AGTIV REACH® P POTATO is a powder mycorrhizal inoculant formulated for uniform distribution during seed-piece treatment or in-furrow application, providing a reliable dry delivery option at planting.
Both formulations deliver viable mycorrhizal propagules to support effective root colonization in potato crops.
