To have an organic fungicide that can provide the level of disease control on par with that see in the conventional farming system is both very unique and exciting. I had the pleasure to test Oso in my crop research trial right before it became registered for use in tree fruit here in WA state. I first got some test material in the winter when everything was dormant in the field, so I did some fruit rot disease inoculation trials in my lab. That was when I first saw the efficacy of this material against Botrytis cinerea in apples, and it was indeed on par with Ph-D. The following spring, I did many trials with Oso in the field on apples and cherries. Again, it did as good of a job at controlling diseases as Ph-D. And in term of efficacy against other organic fungicides (except for sulfur) it performed the best. This set the stage for our company to position Oso in our organic crop protection program and it has been a great addition ever since. Our growers have enjoyed better disease control both in the orchards and in the warehouse where the fruit are stored and processed.
