Kichawi Kill by Toothpick Company Ltd. is a Pre-emergence mycoherbicide for Striga hermonthica witchweed biocontrol in maize and sorghum Read the label before using. DIRECTIONS FOR USE: - In a clean basin, mix 80g of Kichawi Kill with 200ml water. - Add 10KG of maize seeds and mix thoroughly until coated. - Spread coated seeds on a bag in the shade. Let them sit for 15 minutes. - The seeds are ready to plant. Use within two weeks. RATES OF APPLICATION: Apply 1 coated seed in each planting hole. First apply fertilizer, then coated maize seeds to the planting hole. Cover the holes with soil. It is safe to enter the field just after application. HAZARD/PRECAUTIONS: Avoid contact with skin and eyes (may cause irritation). Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling this product. Wear protective clothing; Wash hands with soap and water after handling this product. CROP TOLERANCE: Kichawi Kill is safe to maize at the rate recommended. STORAGE: Store in sealed package away from sun and moisture in a cool dry place. The product contains a living microorganism that must be kept alive to work. Avoid storage at high temperatures above 35°C. Store under lock and key, away from foods, water, un-authorized persons and animals. DISPOSAL: Return used packaging to Toothpick Co. for recycling. ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION: Prolonged contact may cause allergic reaction FIRST AID INSTRUCTIONS: If inhaled: Move the person to fresh air. If the person is unable to breathe, call ambulance, and then give artificial respiration, especially mouth-to-mouth if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further advice on treatment. If in contact with skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. If in contact with eye: Hold eye(s) open and rinse gently and slowly with water for 10-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first few minutes, and continue rinsing. Call a poison control centre or doctor for further advice on treatment. Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control centre or doctor or going for treatment.
